Job Summary

Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to fill a Patient Care Technician position in Winfield, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse, including vital sign monitoring, blood glucose measurements, and intake/output recording.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Contribute to maintaining patient rooms in a clean and orderly state.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking to prioritize and complete unit work efficiently, adapting to changing needs.
  • Act as a liaison between patient care units and other departments, providing communication and support.
  • Respond to phone calls, intercoms, and call lights in a professional manner, using appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Collaborate with the charge RN and/or assistant manager to manage unit workflow, as needed.
  • Validate daily admission, discharge, and census lists, as required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Active BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the OR/Hospital environment

As this position is in a healthcare setting, employees must have up-to-date immunizations (Varicella, MMR, Tdap, Flu, Covid-19).
