Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at University Hospitals Urgent Care. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for X-Ray exams and perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures.
  • Operate modality-specific and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
  • Review patient history and share observations with Providers.
  • Use critical thinking principles to make decisions while following company policies.
  • Keep inventory and maintain supplies, including stocking rooms.
  • Minimize patients' exposure to radiation during X-Ray Imaging through the application of shielding techniques and careful positioning of patients.
  • Respond to and/or refer patient and pharmacy phone consultations, documenting appropriately in EMR.
  • Manage and schedule patients' appointments as needed.
  • Offer and fill appropriate medications accurately in house as prescribed by physician.
  • Collaborate with team on data and achieving length of stay goals for patient satisfaction and departmental goals.
  • Assist with administrative and registration functions when not performing radiological examinations.
  • Consistently audit records for appropriate billing and identify the correct procedure code supported by diagnosis code.
  • Accurately edit claims for modifiers in compliance with CMS, AMA, and CPT coding guidelines.
  • Coordinate coding audits and addendums with registration staff for accurate and complete billing.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists credentials in Radiography (R).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient management skills.
  • Ability to use EMR, PACS, and basic knowledge of computer programs.
