Transforce is seeking a highly skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting equipment to and from customers and dealer facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Operations: Operate a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of equipment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by supporting the sales department with equipment delivery as needed and instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures.
- Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate activity records and log books, obtain necessary signatures and receipts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, fuel, and air, and report maintenance malfunctions to the Director of Transportation.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience pulling a tractor trailer, with experience as a semi-truck operator preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) issued by the state of KS required, with an acceptable driving record (MVR) and meeting insurance requirements.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to use navigation tools, and experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, regularly lifting 75 lbs without assistance, grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, and seeing. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions from extreme heat to winter blizzard conditions.
