We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Bilingual ICU Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, lead clinical teams, and promote a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the ICU, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
- Lead clinical teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel, ensuring a smooth transition into the ICU team.
- Contribute to a positive work environment, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
- Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Nationally Certified in area of specialty.
- PALS certification.
- TNCC and/or ENPC certification.
This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, with potential exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
