Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Lab Technician PRN to join our team. As a Sleep Lab Technician PRN, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing patient information, preparing testing procedures, and performing polysomnographic procedures. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze patient information, including reviewing and verifying patient history, physical condition, and study protocol.
- Prepare testing procedures, including calibrating equipment, applying electrodes and sensors, and performing physiologic calibrations.
- Perform polysomnographic procedures, including following procedural protocols and ensuring the collection of appropriate data.
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to professional accepted guidelines.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
Requirements
- Experience with evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in Polysomnography or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
- RPSGT Certification and CPR or BCLS Certification.
