Job Title: Plastic Mold Setter

Location: Sheridan, AR

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Mold Setter to join our team at Kohler Co. in Sheridan, AR. As a Plastic Mold Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting machine tools for plastic injection molding machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and job orders to ensure accurate product specifications.
  • Install and adjust holding devices and fasten specified molding tools in position to enable operators to produce finished work pieces to specifications.
  • Select and set speed and feed of machines according to type of operation and specified material and finish.
  • Start machines to obtain first run work pieces and verify dimensional tolerances through gaging and First Article Inspection.
  • Assist with process problems that may arise, including cycle optimization.
  • Instruct operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.
  • Set up machines and equipment other than machine tools.
  • Maintain a proficient knowledge of both toilet seat machines and component machines.
Requirements:
  • Certificate from a two-year college or technical school, or 18 months related experience and/or training.
  • Advanced processing knowledge of plastics resins, including ABS, PP, PE, Nylon, Acrylics, Gfyn, Acetal, Isoplast, Noral, Dynaflex, Santopreame, and PVC.
  • Basic hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
  • Liquid Color experience a plus.
  • Experience with robots and sprue pickers.
