As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and administering therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders, and develop tailored treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Therapy Sessions: Administer therapy sessions to patients of all ages, including children and adults, to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members, including educators, physicians, and caregivers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
