About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at WellSpan Health. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medical services.

Job Summary

The LPN will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing patients' health status, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on various aspects of healthcare. You will also be involved in conducting specialized procedures, such as urinary catheterization and insertion of intravenous lines, under the guidance of a licensed physician or advanced practice provider.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient history and gather information to develop accurate assessments.
  • Perform various nursing tasks, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid LPN license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience as an LPN, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $60,000 - $80,000 based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and education assistance.
