Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen Handling: Receive and sort clinical lab specimens, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
- Specimen Preparation: Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, following established protocols and procedures.
- Data Entry: Accurately scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information into our laboratory information system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues that may arise during the testing process.
- Supply Management: Replenish test bench supplies as needed to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred.
- Skills: Comfortability with handling biological specimens, ability to accurately identify specimens, basic computer knowledge, and data entry skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
