Orthopedic Technician II

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our orthopedic department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and assemble orthopedic equipment, ensuring it is safe and consistent with infection control guidelines.
- Calibrate equipment and understand procedures for all treatment performed.
- Participate in inventory control, conducting rounds to distribute and collect used supplies.
- Apply and remove casts and splints under direct supervision of a clinician.
- Prepare for and assist physicians in various orthopedic procedures.
- Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.
- Provide patient education about braces, casts, and splints provided.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- ORTHO-Orthopedic Technician certification.
- Graduate of an orthopedic technician college or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of recent relevant experience.
- General knowledge of orthopedic principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
