Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team at Axelon. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repetitive mechanical assembly tasks involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
Successfully complete all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
Receive components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
Assemble and/or test mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
Follow clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping.
Use simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
Complete required documentation related to production.
Drive continuous improvement process and conduct daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
Read and understand simple layout and assembly drawings.
Maintain equipment and area in clean safe condition.
Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
Work surfaces may include concrete.
Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
