Position Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages patient care within a designated surgical suite.
- Coordinates time, resources, instruments, and staff to ensure optimal case management.
- Delivers nursing care tailored to patients' surgical conditions and the type of anesthesia used.
- Ensures adherence to established techniques and procedures in line with recognized standards of practice.
- Participates in the inventory management of supplies, medications, and equipment to ensure readiness and adequate stock levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.
- Specialty certification is an advantage.
- A minimum of one (1) year of RN experience in a perioperative (operating room) role within an acute care environment is required.
- Proven understanding of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth, development, and life stages to cater to each patient's needs.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at the time of employment.
Compensation: $$74.48/hour
