Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing to students with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate special education services into the classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure student progress and success
- Manage and maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP goals
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in special education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred
- Elementary and/or Middle School teaching experience preferred
- NYS Teaching Certification Students with Disabilities Birth-5th
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Passionate about teaching and learning
