Job Opportunity: Biology Teacher

San Mateo Union High School District is seeking a qualified Biology Teacher to join our team at San Mateo High School.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Biology to high school students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Valid California Single Subject Credential in Biology
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation
  • Resume

Individuals new to our District can be credited for up to 9 years of previous experience for salary placement purposes. Teachers employed in part-time positions may do additional substitute work to receive benefits as if they were a full-time employee. All positions are hired initially on a temporary basis. Applicants that have been previously released from the District based on performance and/or conduct concerns may not apply.
