About the Role

The Food and Beverage Operations Manager position is responsible for supporting all food and beverage operations at AEG. This role is a key part of our hospitality services team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent service.
  • Directly manage staff while having direct interaction with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that they have a positive experience.
  • Maintain and control high volume food and beverage inventory to ensure that we have the products and supplies needed to meet customer demand.
  • Train, educate, and enforce responsible service of alcoholic beverages and evaluate compliance within corporate procedures to ensure that we are meeting our standards and regulations.
  • Develop and enforce standards for service, sanitation, and product and food quality to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and that our operations are running efficiently.
  • Ensure that all cash handling procedures are documented and enforced to prevent errors and ensure that our financial records are accurate.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
  • Conduct physical audit of inventory and product to ensure that we are meeting our standards and regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required, Associate's degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a POS system.
  • Customer service and communication skills.
  • Fast paced problem solving skills.
  • Must be personable, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Organized and ability to jump from task to task and prioritize as needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to adapt to change quickly.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Must be able to read and maintain information.
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Able to move fast and act on assigned duties.
  • Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry and put away parcels weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time.
  • Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity.
Additional Requirements
  • Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
  • Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company's risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
