POSITION:
Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (Part-Time)

LOCATION:
Milliken Technical Center

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing driver rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities
  • Experience as a NYS Certified Driver Education Teacher or NYS DMV approved Driver Education Teacher is required
  • Possession of a valid NYS driver license with a satisfactory record and a permanent MV-283 certificate is mandatory

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver driving instruction to participants, focusing on safe vehicle operation, including the use of adaptive equipment and addressing limitations related to disabilities
  • Engage with ACCES-VR and community organizations to meet the needs of clients
  • Coordinate evaluation and training sessions
  • Keep detailed logs of client and vehicle usage
  • Ensure confidentiality of student files, including comprehensive written reports and necessary documentation
  • Organize and transport vehicles for maintenance and repairs

SALARY:
$55.00/hour
