Bighorn Airways, Inc. is seeking an experienced pilot to join our team, this position offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of customers and employees and be involved in a growing company.
This position requires flying a CASA 212 for the 2025 smokejumper season for the US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management as well as overflow for FedEx and UPS during the Christmas peak season.
We operate these aircraft in the Rocky Mountain Regions of the Lower 48, and in the state of Alaska This job entails flying large aircraft at slow air-speeds in mountainous terrain with unfavorable weather conditions.
You will be dropping Smokejumpers in remote locations, and dropping para cargo at low level. Point-to-Point Missions in IFR conditions are also required.
A strong background in low level flying is required, preferable in Ag. Strong customer skills and a positive attitude and the ability to work closely with others for an extended period of time is a must.

- ATP or ATP Written complete
- 3,500 Total Time
- 1,500 in Airplanes
- 2,000 Multiengine Land
- 200 Multiengine Turbine
- 100 PIC Night
- 75 PIC Instrument
- 1,000 PIC Cross Country
- 250 PIC Large Aircraft (Greater than 12,500lb)
- 500 PIC Turboprop
- 200 Low Level (below 500'AGL)
- 500 Mountainous Terrain (below 2,500' AGL)
- 100 hours in Airplanes the last 12 months
