About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Journeyman to join our team at Brown & Root Industrial Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Installation and Assembly: Assemble and install new equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Structural Support: Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Adjustments and Alignments: Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts to ensure proper alignment and function.
  • Machinery Movement: Safely move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks, to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
  • Machine Assembly: Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, ensuring a secure and stable installation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude: A solid understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
