About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Travel Nurse RN for our Med-Surg unit in Sioux City, Iowa. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, assisting with the recovery of patients who require medical and surgical interventions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.">
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessment and physician orders.">
  • Patient Care: Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical protocols.">
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes.">
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and discharge plans.">
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, progress, and outcomes in the medical record.">
  • Safety & Infection Control: Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections and ensure a safe environment.">

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have relevant experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Med-Surg setting. A strong understanding of patient assessment, care planning, and documentation is essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
