Overview:


The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions within the hotel. This position involves reconciling cashier activities, preparing management reports, and ensuring that guest billing is precise.

Additionally, the Night Auditor will communicate effectively with management regarding any issues and will perform front desk duties as needed, including guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and managing the switchboard.


Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial data analysis and basic arithmetic.
- Be open to cross-training in various accounting or hospitality functions.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Execute guest service responsibilities, such as check-ins, reservations, and inquiries.
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.

- Prepare and distribute daily reports, including the Daily Operating Report and Tax Reports, in accordance with hotel standards.

- Compile and distribute month-end financial reports.
- Audit and reconcile all cashier transactions from the Front Desk and Food & Beverage departments.
- Ensure timely processing of credit card transactions.
- Maintain accuracy in all reported figures, including statistics.
- Input and update financial data in the corporate communication system.
- Perform necessary data processing tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial occurrences.
- Strive for overall guest satisfaction.
- Address guest requests promptly.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience in hospitality preferred.
- Experience in guest services is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential.

- This role may involve sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

Availability for late or overnight shifts is necessary.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and staff.

- Ability to listen, understand, and address concerns from guests and employees.
- Multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions to meet deadlines is crucial.
- Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions.

- Adhere to attendance standards in line with Anza Hotel policies, which may vary based on operational needs.

- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Anza Hotel policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
- Focus on productivity, identify areas for improvement, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Effectively handle problems, including anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.
- Understand and apply complex information from various sources to achieve objectives.
- Be willing to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00/hr.
