Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient needs and collaborate with physical therapists to create effective treatment plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapy practices and assistance with daily activities.
- Manage patient documentation and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care and achieve patient goals.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice in Idaho; Current BLS certification.
- Skills: Effective communication with a diverse range of individuals.
- Preferred: One year of experience, driver’s license, dependable transportation, and auto insurance.
Physical Demands:
- Lifting: Occasionally up to 75 lbs. from floor, chair, or bed to stand, 35 lbs. overhead; frequently up to 20 lbs.
- Transfers: Assist up to 24 times per day.
- Push/Pull: Moderate force for wheelchairs and equipment.
- Carrying: Up to 20 lbs. for 100 yards.
- Fine Motor Skills: Required for treatments and taping.
- Standing/Walking: Up to 3 hours at a time, 8 hours per day.
- Sitting: Up to 1 hour at a time, 5 hours per day.
- Kneeling: Up to 15 minutes at a time, 1 hour per day.
- Stooping: Up to 15 minutes at a time, 3 hours per day.
- Driving: Up to 90 minutes at a time, 4 hours per day.
- Climbing: Up to 5 minutes at a time, 30 minutes per day.
- Other: Constant talking, hearing, seeing.
