Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in diagnosing disorders affecting circulation.
  • May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
  • Record and maintain test data, and prepare preliminary interpretations of test results.
  • Perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures, depending on the hospital department.
  • Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.

Requirements:

Education and Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT required.
  • BLS required.

Work Schedule and Type:

TBD

Per Diem As Needed
