Job Overview

As a Phlebotomist with Sonora Quest, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens, preparing them for analytical testing, and ensuring their safe transportation to our laboratories. You will work closely with our medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.

About the Job

This role may be located within a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP). You will have the opportunity to work in various locations throughout Tucson and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and process biological specimens
  • Prepare specimens for analytical testing
  • Transport specimens safely to our laboratories
  • Work collaboratively with medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent required (dependent on state regulatory requirements)
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
  • DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
