Job Summary:

We are seeking a Process Design Associate to join our team at Honda North America. This role will be responsible for developing safe and efficient processes in 4WD/AT utilizing M.O.S.T. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to work independently as well as within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas using M.O.S.T.
Achieve high process efficiency by applying Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Design processes that are simple and achieve SQCDM targets.
Audit and maintain data to ensure accurate information across all operation standards.
Perform time estimates for production processes and develop Operation Standards.
Identify and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
Support New Model Events and identify concerns and countermeasures before mass production.
Develop plans and schedules for projects as needed.
Provide project support for evaluation as needed and develop a summary on process impacts as needed.
Ensure lineside racks are set up for process delivery when changes are made to the line.
Work with SCO to confirm any packaging changes occur.
Develop the capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing experience.
Collect feedback from the production floor and line staff and address concerns as needed.

Requirements:

0-4 years of manufacturing experience based on education.
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirements.
Intermediate computer skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of the SEQCDM guidelines/requirements within the area of responsibility.
Ability to manage time and multi-task.
Business Plan knowledge.
PDDA Knowledge.
AutoCAD/Catia drawing updates as needed.
