Job Summary

The CDP Box Truck Driver plays a vital role in the success of our organization by working closely with the CDP Leads and the Transportation Logistic/Supply Chain Manager to plan and execute various pickups and deliveries throughout the organization. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate an automatic transmission 26' box truck following all rules of the road.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle that meets Kaizen standards.
  • Perform light maintenance, replace fuel tanks, and record safety inspections on the truck.
  • Load and unload materials onto trailers with proper loading techniques and weight distribution.
  • Plan, organize, and execute the activities of the day.
  • Monitor pickup inventory and store drop-off inventory, ensuring timely completion of pickups in accordance with the daily schedule.
  • Proactively address and follow up on customer service issues, communicating concerns with CDP Leads or Transportation Logistic/Supply Chain Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and cohesive work environment, providing a clean, fun, and safe environment for customers and fellow employees.
  • Provide maximum customer service to ensure repeat business.
  • Build and develop relationships with customers to determine product needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with retail leadership staff and support staff.
Requirements
  • Current valid Indiana Chauffer's License or ability to obtain.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and qualify under the district's insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle.
  • Pass a 10-point drug screen pre-hire, during promotions, and if accidents occur.
  • Ability to spend time in excess of 8 hours standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage frequent exposure to loud noises, outside weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts.
