As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scanning patients in various aspects of cardiac scanning.
Job Summary:This per diem position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. You will report to the Supervisor of the Echocardiography Department and operate within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scan patients in all aspects of cardiac scanning, including M-Mode, 2-D, 3-D, Color, Doppler, Stress Exercise Testing, and TEE.
- Meet registry requirements and be certified by ARDMS American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer as an RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing International as an RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Associate's degree in a Radiologic Science or equivalent certification required.
- One (1) to three (3) years clinical experience preferred.
