About the Position

This is a full-time, benefit-earning position with Hennepin County Public Health's Mental Health Center. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for administering psychological evaluations, providing mental health therapy, and developing treatment recommendations and treatment goals and plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to assess a client's mental health functioning
  • Administer, score, and interpret intelligence and personality tests
  • Provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, families, adults, and/or the elderly
  • Record notes pertaining to client progress and attendance
  • Write comprehensive psychological reports of clients' histories, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations
  • Communicate information in psychological reports to appropriate agencies and individuals
  • Provide consultation to other Hennepin County entities regarding addressing the mental health needs of their clients

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in psychology and an approved clinical internship in the area of specialization
  • Certified as a psychological practitioner or eligible within 18 months for certification as a licensed psychologist in the State of Minnesota

About the Department

Hennepin County Public Health's Mental Health Center is a state-licensed outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive outpatient mental health services to adults with serious mental illness as well as those with co-occurring substance use disorders. We serve children, adolescents, and families, many of whom are involved with other county programs.
