Job Summary: As a Meat Cutter at Safeway, you will be responsible for preparing meat for sale by cutting, trimming, chopping, grinding, and placing it on trays. You will also operate saws, grinders, and other meat processing machinery, inspect and sort meat products, and ensure displayed products are fresh and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meat in salable sizes and condition for wrapping and display
  • Cut, trim, chop, grind, and otherwise prepare meats and place on trays
  • Operate saws, grinders, and other meat processing machinery
  • Inspect and sort meat products
  • Inspect displayed products for expired dates and remove when necessary
