What You'll Do
  • Wash and inspect all dishware and glassware to ensure cleanliness and quality.
  • Store clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in designated areas to maintain organization and efficiency.
  • Keep the dishwashing machine and dish room in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or breakdowns to the Food Service Manager.
  • Perform assigned cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping the kitchen area and waitstaff station, and cleaning the filter over the stove.
  • Deliver ice to the dining room and assist waitstaff with serving and bringing in dishes to the kitchen as needed.
  • May deliver meals to residents in their apartments, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Utilize proper cleaning chemicals and follow established policies for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring dishes are readily available for the next meal.
  • Store dishes in a way that prevents contamination and maintains a clean and hygienic environment.
What You'll Bring
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effective communication skills to fulfill position responsibilities.
  • Ability to read schedules, menus, and position-related instructions.
  • Teamwork and flexibility, with the ability to work a variety of shifts and communicate effectively with coworkers.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, mops, and cleaning chemicals.
