Respiratory Therapist

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your knowledge, strong attention to detail, compassion, and analytical capabilities will ensure meaningful, personalized care for each respiratory patient.
About the Role
This position is part of our Respiratory Services department, where you will work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to implement the plan of care. You will review and evaluate patient history, physical exams, current vital signs, admission, and current respiratory care orders. Your expertise will advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedures and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Review and evaluate patient history, physical exams, current vital signs, admission, and current respiratory care orders.
- Planning & Documentation: Initiate and update respiratory care plans for all patients per department policy and procedure.
- Education & Communication: Provide and document patient education for therapeutic procedures performed.
Requirements
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate is required.
- New York State Respiratory Therapist license required.
- ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting, and may involve exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Pay Range
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
