Position Overview

The Youth Camp Facilitator role offers a competitive weekly compensation of $500, along with a sign-on incentive of $250 upon successful completion of onboarding and training processes.

This position is essential for ensuring the well-being of campers, engaging them in various activities, maintaining living spaces, and supporting program leaders in inspiring and motivating participants.

Internship Opportunities: This role provides the chance to earn college credit or fieldwork hours in areas such as therapeutic recreation, outdoor education, and parks and recreation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist campers with daily routines, including dressing and preparing for bed.
  • Act as a vital team member to guarantee that each camper enjoys a fulfilling experience tailored to their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate camper records and complete necessary documentation.
  • Help design and facilitate engaging program activities for campers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the social sector and the mission of the organization.
  • Fulfill assigned responsibilities effectively.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in human services is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Must meet the State's Moral Character standards.
  • Compliance with MDHHS and ACA standards is necessary.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills for accurate documentation.
  • Understanding of public safety and security protocols.

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
  • Capability to assist campers during emergency situations.

Work Environment
