RN Assessor

Join Wellcove's team as a Registered Nurse Onsite Assessor and play a vital role in the Long Term Care Insurance eligibility process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting non-medical, observational assessments in the comfort of the client's home or facility. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse will be essential in documenting Claimant demographics, physician information, and medication and diagnosis lists. You will also be responsible for administering cognitive screenings and documenting the client's ability to complete daily living and instrumental activities of daily living tasks. This is a 1099 contract position, and you will have the flexibility to choose when and how often you work. To be successful in this role, you must have a current unencumbered RN licensure, a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. You must also have a professional liability insurance policy and be able to utilize a computer or tablet. The assessment process typically takes 90 minutes, and you will be compensated at a rate of $95 per assessment. You will be responsible for coordinating scheduling with the client or their point of contact and confirming appointments 24 hours prior. You will also need to submit completed assessment documentation within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment and remain available for any clarifications from our Clinical Review team. Please note that you will not be responsible for releasing any determinations and will refer clients to their Long-Term Care Insurance company for any questions.
