Role Summary This position involves the welding of carbon steel tanks and associated components in various locations, utilizing techniques such as flux-core, sub-arc, and stick welding, adhering to the specifications provided. The role includes supervising junior welders to ensure that our tanks uphold exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proficiently weld A36 steel of varying thicknesses
  • Adjust welding equipment to suitable settings for different materials
  • Perform multiple pass welds that meet X-ray standards
  • Execute lap joints for tank floors and roofs
  • Accurately position and weld large steel sheets
  • Interpret blueprints and project scopes
  • Collaborate with the Tank Superintendent for selecting welding methods
  • Inspect welds for quality and precision
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Supervisory Duties Assist the Tank Superintendent in overseeing the work of junior welders.

Team Environment Promote teamwork and personal development to enhance employee potential.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must meet the essential duties outlined.

Required qualifications include:

passing a company welding assessment, obtaining welding certification within six months, and possessing less than a high school education or equivalent experience.

A valid driver's license is advantageous.

Communication and Numerical Skills

Ability to understand and communicate effectively. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are necessary.

Analytical Skills

Capable of following simple instructions logically and effectively.
