The Director of Transportation Management serves as a key member of the Enterprise Optimization, Logistics & Supply Chain (EOL&SC) team at New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). This role is responsible for tactical day-to-day NYBCe Fleet operations, managing vehicle and related assets. The position oversees the company's third-party Fleet management partner and collaborates with internal and external business partners to develop and evolve a portfolio of vehicle specifications that enables optimal business performance.
Fleet Management Objectives- Develop and implement fleet management strategies and policies to ensure the smooth operation of the company's fleet department.
- Oversee and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and replacement of vehicles, equipment, and machinery to ensure fleet readiness and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and analyze fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (suppliers, vendors, regulatory authorities) to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
