Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be certified in ACLS and BLS. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing basic bedside care, stabilizing critical cardiac patients, and administering medications. You will also be required to monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic bedside care, including stabilizing critical cardiac patients
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays
  • Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the United States
  • 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
  • ACLS and BLS certification
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds easily, and up to 50 pounds at times
