Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of teachers, implementing our curriculum, and creating a safe and engaging learning environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Mentor Teachers: Provide guidance and support to less experienced teachers, model best practices, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement Curriculum: Develop and implement our curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Create a Safe and Engaging Environment: Design and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Partner with Parents: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in their child's education.
  • Support Center Success: Collaborate with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Cultivate Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Qualifications
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: Possess an active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • State Trainer (Preferred): Approved state trainer or willingness to obtain.
  • Early Childhood Education Experience: 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • State-Specific Guidelines: Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Physical Demands: Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Communication Skills: Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
