The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in New York City is seeking an Employee Support and Wellness Strategist to join their Health & Safety Department. This role involves handling employee mental health and well-being, interviewing and counseling employees, developing training programs, and connecting employees with healthcare resources.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify employees who may be at risk for mental health concerns
- Interview employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders to discuss mental health wellness concerns and identify appropriate interventions
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs on mental health well-being, suicide prevention, employee wellness, and related topics
- Provide casework and counseling services to employees experiencing mental health challenges
The selected candidate must have a master's degree or certificate in social work and four years of full-time paid experience in public health, medical or psychiatric social work.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of mental health resources, and critical thinking and analytical skills. Experience in mental health counseling, risk assessment, and employee wellness programs is also preferred.
