About This Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will play a critical role in supporting design, analysis, test, and production operations for Land Vehicles.
You will work closely with Engineering to ensure that production tooling and build-plan methodology meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze engineering designs to determine manufacturability of components and assemblies.
- Determine manufacturing processes, tooling methodology, and associated time standards for producing new parts and assemblies.
- Develop process plans for shop floor methods and work instructions.
- Oversee the creation of manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM) to break down engineering product structures into logical manufacturing methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance on Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) for production issues related to engineering design, material, tooling, specifications, and processes.
- Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing operation sequences, tooling functions, and process specifications.
- Evaluate compliance with regulations and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two or more years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role or related field.
- Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- The ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Software programming skills and experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling programs (desired).
- Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with peers, supervisors, customers, and management both internally and externally.
- Ability to identify problems, resolutions, and consider options inclusive of drawing conclusions and recommending the best course of action.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on details and multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
