We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team at Johnson Health Center. As a key member of our Patient Care Team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
- Assist Providers with in-office tests and procedures, as ordered.
- Administer medications, including IM and Sub Q injections, as ordered and supervised by the RN.
- Document clinical activities and patient interactions in the electronic Medical Record.
- Collect and process specimens, perform in-house testing, and requisition outside testing facilities.
- Perform quality control procedures on laboratory equipment, adhering to OSHA, CLIA, and JHC policies.
- Ensure supplies and medications are checked for expiration dates, intact packaging, and condition before use.
- Stock exam rooms and special treatment areas with necessary supplies and indicate ordering needs.
- Participate in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Return patient phone calls promptly and perform other duties as required by the RN, LPN, DON, or Provider.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting Program and current Registration or Certification through a nationally recognized credentialing entity.
- Computer literacy and ability to work independently with flexible hours.
- Basic Life Support techniques and excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to perform well in team settings and demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to Johnson Health Center and its mission.
This position is a FLSA position and requires physical attendance to perform essential job functions. The CMA/RMA reports to and is supervised by the Director of Nursing, with clinical leadership provided by a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Provider.
