About the Role

At HealthPRO Heritage, we're seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy treatments to residents according to treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report to the therapist on resident conditions, reactions, and responses.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the therapist.
  • Assist with admission screening and consultation with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized physical therapy department and equipment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current license or eligibility for licensure under state statutes.
  • Experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including neat handwriting.
  • Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and facility policies.
