About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Product Manager to join our Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team at McDonald's Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our technology initiatives and ensuring alignment with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Network Infrastructure and Operations (NIO) Leadership team in setting bold team goals aligned with the wider GTIO objectives.
  • Work with the NIO Leadership team to define critical metrics for measuring the success of NIO objectives, high-priority initiatives, and operational metrics.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve ways of working for the NIO team to deliver faster, better, cheaper solutions for our customers.
  • Own and manage the NIO team's in-take process for internal and external demands.
  • Track and report on the budget every month on behalf of the Senior Director.
  • Assist the NIO leadership team with their departmental budget and cross-charges.
  • Be the key support person to the Senior Director, understanding and assisting with prioritizing and managing workload, ensuring sufficient capacity to allow the Senior Director to focus on delivering NIO strategy and plans.
  • Own and manage the process for work prioritization and help with overall Network backlog grooming.
  • Own and manage the process for effectively supervising NIO contracts, including reporting.
  • Track and report on the NIO budget and Cross-charges.
  • Supervise and report on the major changes and projects.
  • Communicate, communicate, communicate.
  • Ensure the establishment of training and re-skilling mechanisms available to all.
  • Manage training, volunteering, and certification targets.
  • Track and report on security, availability, cost, and compliance objectives.
  • Improve our communication with Markets, business units, and external teams. Coach business on must-haves, roadmaps, and prioritization.
  • Facilitate NIO leadership meetings and monthly all-hands meetings.
  • Supervise and ensure everything that needs to be done is done well.
  • Review recommended business tooling and subsequent changes.

  • Experience working with multiple collaborators, vendors, and 3rd party partners.
  • Experience working with senior leadership for feedback, approval, and delivery.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across the Global Technology organization.
  • Ability to provide overall guidance and direction to the team and third parties.
  • Ability to document and communicate the status of tasks as agreed necessary.
  • Ability to manage the success of metrics defined by the organization.
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
  • Ability to negotiate changes to commitments/requirements.
  • Ability to review ongoing processes to find opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflict.
  • Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in easy-to-understand business-friendly language.

Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering/technology, or 3+ years of relevant work experience and a master's degree.
  • 3+ years of technology capability deployment experience across multiple IT practices that may include infrastructure leadership, service management leadership, technology operations, networking, engineering, security, and business relationship management.
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering complex infrastructure, network, and/or network security products and platforms.
  • 2+ years of professional experience designing, building, supporting, or managing core enterprise networks: Routing, Switching, LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewall, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience working and collaborating in a globally dispersed team.
  • 2+ years of Experience working in an Agile environment with a Scrum Master, Daily Scrum meetings, Backlogs, Sprints, and written Stories and deliverables.
  • Familiar with documentation process and tools, JIRA and Confluence preferred.
  • Strong experience in process improvement, with an emphasis on analytics and process management (prior experience with Lean, and Six Sigma tools preferred).
  • PMP, PgMP, Prince, or equivalent desired.
  • Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFE, or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • CCNP/CCDP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
