Job Description
This role involves performing AFM demonstrations to prospective customers, highlighting the research interests and needs of our target audience. It requires compiling well-written demonstration reports that effectively communicate AFM data, ensuring maximum impact from the available images. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist and advise sales and marketing teams on technical and scientific matters, contributing to marketing materials and educating non-technical staff on new applications or capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Performing AFM installations at customer sites throughout the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Middle East, Africa, and India
- Training customers on instrument operation as well as the art and science of AFM
- Providing expert technical support to customers via phone, email, online, and web forum
- Developing new applications and techniques, authoring technical notes, application notes, and/or scientific journal articles
- Presenting new application developments and data at worldwide conferences, workshops, webinars, and internal meetings
- Helping continually improve the AFM software by suggesting new features and reporting bugs or user interface issues
