Certified Specialty Pharmacy Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified Specialty Pharmacy Technician at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex pharmaceutical processes and tasks, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Work in atypical environments, such as compounding, remote dispensaries, or medication history, and serve as an expert in specialized areas.
- Problem solve technical issues and identify quality improvement opportunities to ensure efficient services and patient care.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop and coordinate team member education, training, and competency.
- Provide input to and support implementation of operational changes, advancements, and site and system standardization.
- High School Graduate.
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in providing services as a Pharmacy Technician, depending on specialty area.
- Good mathematical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, communication, organization, problem resolution, and process development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and take initiative.
- Advanced computer skills.
This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach about shoulders throughout the workday. Additionally, the ability to deliver medications to patients via their preferred mode and flexibility to travel amongst Aurora Pharmacy locations is necessary.
