Job Title: Registered Nurse Oncology Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Clinic team at Children's Hospital Colorado. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient and family.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and guidelines in pediatric oncology and hematology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
  • At least one year of experience in pediatric oncology or hematology nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a dynamic environment.
