ECU Health Physicians, in collaboration with ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital, is actively seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine-Pediatrics or Internal Medicine physician to enhance their Hospitalist program.

Key Features of the Position:
• Employment with ECU Health Physicians
• Part of a growing healthcare system with 9 hospitals
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital
• Clinical duties will include: Level II nursery and well newborn nursery (for Med-Peds trained physicians), daily patient rounds, admissions, discharges, ventilator management, intubation, central line placement, and thoracentesis
• 7 on 7 off schedule - 7a-7p with 2/7p-7a shifts every other week
• ICU coverage provided by pulmonary critical care physicians during the day, with hospitalist team coverage at night and on weekends
• Established team of 6 hospitalists
• Anticipated patient volume of 15-20
• Strong air and ground support for patient transfers to ECU Health Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center
• System-wide integrated EMR: EPIC
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Close proximity to Greenville, NC, offering a desirable living environment
