We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and adjust all imaging equipment to perform exams, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in a variety of imaging procedures as needed.
- Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other designated areas.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- One or more of the following certifications required within 6 months of hire date:
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
