About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at HealthLink, a leading home health agency in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to our mission of improving healthcare outcomes and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to patients in accordance with the Physical Therapist's plan of care and the Physician's orders.
  • Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
  • Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
  • Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage, as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Observe and report to the Physical Therapist and the Organization personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Instruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
  • Online charting in Kinnser immediately after visit on a provided device.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant License to practice in California.
  • Current CA Driver's License (with a clean driving record) and Valid Automobile Insurance.
  • Ability to travel within a 15 to 25-mile radius on a regular basis.
  • Priority to candidates with availability Saturday-Monday or Wednesday-Sunday.
