Job Title: Requirements Engineer

At General Dynamics Information Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled Requirements Engineer to join our team. As a Requirements Engineer, you will play a critical role in analyzing customer requirements, user needs, and providing analysis to propose solutions to a variety of IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements for IT infrastructure and services projects.
  • Perform technical assessments to improve client systems and services delivered.
  • Perform functional analysis to identify tasks and their relationships.
  • Research and recommend resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Perform functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
  • Work with technical and operations staff to develop solutions to user requirements.
  • Apply Service Labor and Material catalogs in the design of proposed solutions.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommending functional changes and identifying areas for further investigation.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior-level client personnel.
  • Consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
  • Identify emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Write and update project documentation, including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in requirements engineering, systems engineering, or project management and proposal support.
  • Experience with technical documentation, program-related messaging, and customer deliverables.
  • Experience with customer requirements gathering and understanding of Enterprise IT Infrastructure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI Poly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current and relevant customer experience.
  • ITIL certification.
