Position Overview

The primary role of the Janitorial Services Representative is to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for both employees and guests. Maintaining cleanliness in the showroom, restrooms, offices, parking areas, and storage facilities is essential to delivering an experience that aligns with the Living Spaces brand.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully complete all required training modules, including onboarding, safety protocols, vendor/product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  • Conduct a thorough daily inspection of the store to identify and address any cleanliness concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members, including visual merchandising and logistics, to ensure the showroom meets Living Spaces brand standards.
  • Engage with all guests throughout the store to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Operate floor scrubbers and vacuums daily to maintain cleanliness of tile and carpeted areas.
  • Ensure all surfaces are dusted, wiped, and sanitized on a daily basis.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms, break rooms, and frequently touched surfaces.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records for all cleaning equipment used.
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks on cleaning supplies.
  • Foster positive working relationships with external vendors, in-store staff, and management.
  • Support a culture that promotes positive outcomes in line with company expectations.
  • Availability to work weekends and most holidays is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of experience in a retail custodial or janitorial position is preferred. Experience in commercial cleaning is a plus. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is necessary for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on various factors such as education, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust this pay range as needed.

Compensation: $21.45 per hour.

Team members in retail, guest services, and distribution are eligible for bonuses based on performance metrics.
