Salary: $20.00/hour

Job Description: As a Pastry Chef with our team, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite pastries, pies, and desserts that delight our guests' senses. Your daily pursuits will include baking and creating items for our dining room, employee dining room, and coffee shop. You will also create pastry/dessert specials for sale in the dining room and bar, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation. Inventory management and communication with the chef and storekeeper are crucial to ordering necessary recipe ingredients and maintaining optimal stock levels. Additionally, you will create prep lists and item pars for the baking and pastry team, as well as develop the team schedule. Teaching and training staff to advance their skills are essential aspects of this role. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of baking and prep areas, as well as equipment used by the baking team, is paramount to maintaining a safe working environment. Record-keeping of potential safety and maintenance issues, along with communicating details to your supervisor, demonstrates your commitment to excellence. Providing assistance with set-up for special events, meetings, conferences, and banquets showcases your adaptability and willingness to support your colleagues. Offering help to guests and teammates when needed highlights your exceptional customer service skills. As a utility player capable of completing various tasks, you will contribute significantly to the success of our team. Required Skills and Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in baking and pastry production are required for this position. A patisserie/culinary degree or training is preferred, as is the ability to accurately plan, cost, and manage food costs & controls. A strong work ethic and commitment to the team and guest are essential. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work independently or as part of a team, committed to Safety First and the highest standards of cleaning and sanitizing.
